I noticed today that the package FTBS in a sid pbuilder, I guess because
of the gcc-4.4 -> gcc-4.5 transition of the default compiler in sid. The
mame makefiles are tailored for a gcc 4.4 so I need to find a way to
specify gcc-4.4 as the required compiler.

gcc: error trying to exec 'x86_64-linux-gnu-gcc-4.4': execvp: No such
file or directory
Compiling src/emu/cpu/superfx/sfx_dasm.c.

When that problem is fixed, we should do an upload to experimental ASAP,
followed by an upload to unstable when the transition path is well
tested ( xmame to mame )
I will keep you in informed !

Greets !

If the build does not fail due to compiler changes with 4.5, we should
change the build system to use 4.5, not 4.4.

gcc-4.5 should work well, it has been tested on the sdlmame forum:
