I was looking at mame buildd logs, it seems to fail on some archs.

I think we can build mame on ia64 by passing out the SDLMAME_NOASM
macro in DEB_MAME_OPTS, but I can't test it because I don't have the
hardware.

Can I push this change to git repository on alioth, and test with
buildd daemons? (or even better: just with the ia64 machine)

Suggestions?

Besides the lack of asm code for !x86 !ppc, MAME suffers from unaligned
memory issues throughout its codebase so this is a correct change but not
enough. I did some build tests on sparc and arm and there's little we can
do without extensive changes to the codebase. It can be done, but its some
good work.

I even tried to build the tools only for these arches but even the tools
have these problems.
