I think it's time that we started what most of us have been wanting to
start.

Whether this is the beginnings of a Chamber or not, we need to get on
the same page. Whether that is all of us, some of us, or we decide to
not do anything formal, that is the type of thing we need to talk
about. We've all been doing great things as individuals, now let's do
some even greater things with combined resources.

Let's set a time and get going on at least seeing if there is a common
ground to work on. I don't have everyone's contacts so please help me
get to everyone. That is probably the first example of the type of
things we need. Some type of email tree, so we can communicate with
everyone easily.

I'd be willing host a meeting myself, but my store isn't very roomy.
Most everyone is closed by 7:00, but not the restaurants and bar
(depending on day), so what time and day is best? Is morning best if
we're all in town?

I don't know all the answers, but together maybe we can answer a few
more.

I have spoken with 6 people so far and all are interested in seeing
what everyone thinks. Darren said the Cafe is open to us. Is there a
time that works for everyone, or at least most everyone?

With everything going on this weekend, obviously we'll wait at least
that long to get going. Again, I don't have much contact info, any
help getting the word out is great. Haven't had a chance to go door
to door, probably this weekend will work well since most everyone
should be around.

Bring ideas and thoughts with you. Nothing in stone, but discussion
topics.

My thoughts so far:
Chamber - interest in starting one, reaching out to Glenwood, some
other entity, advertising co-op?
Retention & Recruiting of businesses
Overall goals, long, short, specific themes

That type of thing. Bring ideas or post thoughts. Thanks.
