Hi Everyone,

Is there any interest in having a Fall 2010 meeting of MALTA? I would
be interested in hosting it here at GGC in our new library.

Do we have anything to talk about?

Hi there,
I's been a while since I've received anything from this group (will check my spam box). I find that I'm in need of a refresher in regards to scope and membership. Most of the pages @google groups are broken, so no help there.

Basically, I'm trying to make sure that I don't just become a party crasher ... ;-)

thanks!

Scott,

I'd always be up for this.

Surely there's been enough going on that we could get enough people to
talk about what they've been working on, right?

Thanks,
-Ross.

I'd be interested as well. We could talk a bit about our repository work, stuff in finding aids or our Rushdie repo work as if there's any interested. I'd love to see what everyone has going on.

Thanks,

Scott,
Thanks for asking the question. I'm definitely interested. Discovery tools
might be a topic of interest.

Will there be a followup HOPSA meeting the night of the event?

Hey Scott,
We have a few things going on regarding discovery tools, although
we're in the middle of system upgrades so a production implementation
of our discovery system's latest version (ExLibris Primo) will have to
wait until August. Also, I'm presenting at LITA this fall on our
geospatial program development and could share on that and I'd love to
hear what (if anything) others are doing in that arena....

thanks,
Kim Durante

Hi everyone. Maybe there are common themes that we can talk about or have a round of speed talks?

Here are some things Ga State is working on.

* Implementation of bX recommender (also up at Ga Tech I believe)
* Moving from our in-house content management system to the campus OpenText CMS for our new web site design
* Moving from our in-house list of databases to xerxes
* Moved from the open source ETD and DSPACE repositories to the bepress Digital Commons
* Moving from WordPress MU to WordPress 3.0
* Forming a new Web Group to provide ongoing maintenance and oversight for the web presence
* Initial planning our Mobile Presence launch in Spring 2010
* Still making progress on our CONTENTdm site

Other folks at Tech can chime in about additional projects here ... if there is any interest, I could briefly discuss using drupal for conducting a data assessment on campus.

Hi,

I can give an update on the GALILEO Knowledge Repository (GKR) project.

It would be interesting to have a theme on digital libraries or repositories.

Yes – it looks like repositories is emerging as one of the themes.

We would be happy to give a tour of the new library; I suggest we do that last so that people who need to get back to their places can.

I’ll put together all the suggestions we’re getting and re-send them out for comments .

What time this late summer or fall sound good to everyone?
