Ok, since there's been zero response to this, I'll throw my hat in the ring:

Assuming I won't be in Guatemala (or just back) on the 14th, I could present about "Fancy Pants": our AJAX layer over Voyager to help inject some of the next gen catalog functionality into WebVoyage.

Those of us that are attending the XC (Extensible Catalog) meeting tomorrow should report back (I know of Bill Erickson and me -- there are several Emory-ites going, correct?).

I think a Code4lib 2007 report is in order, as well (again, I may or may not be there).  The Lucene pre-conference has a lot of ramifications on us, as well.  Anyone attending that could report back.

A Metalib update might be good, too.

Anything else?

Thanks,
-Ross.

Absolutely.   I'd be happy to join in the discussion.

I'll be attending the conference and pre-conference as well.  I'm not qualified to discuss Lucene, but I can help with the general conference round-up.

A Metalib update might be good, too.

Anything else?

Thanks,
-Ross.

Unfortunately, the 14th is in the middle of spring break at UGA, and some of us will be away.  Sorry to miss MALTA IV.
Thanks, Bill

Selden Deemer and I (Emory) were at the xC meeting, we'll be glad to
help with the debrief.

Interesting. We decided to schedule it during Emory's Spring Break
to make it easier to get here, find parking, etc. Maybe we should
discuss whether Spring/Fall break is on balance a good or bad idea for
scheduling future MALTA's

Hi everyone. For what it is worth I won't be here on March 14th so I'll
have to sit this one out.

Good point, Scott.

We have reserved a room, but that reservation can be released.
If a significant number of potential MALTA participants are
unable to meet on March 14, the meeting could be pushed back
to May.

It has been proposed that MALTA IV be reschedule to May. In order to
make a decision regarding rescheduling we need to see how many people
are planning to attend MALTA on March 14 versus how many would like to
attend on a later date.

Please respond to this email and indicate if you are planning to attend
MALTA as currently scheduled or if you would attend on a date in May.

Thanks,

The overwhelming consensus is to reschedule MALTA IV. So we are going
to postpone till May. New dates will be announced soon.
