Looks like I'm going to be out of town for the August 3rd meeting. Is anybody interested in hosting or at least running the show at the pub? I am going to try and grab some Pilsners when I am in Omaha next Wednesday.

Also, as some of you know already, my family and I will be moving on at the end of August. We are moving to Virginia to start up a new brewery. I am searching for my replacement and have put something about running the club into the job description but I cant guarantee that the new brewery will want to do this. If this club is to keep up its momentum, you might have to find somebody among the group to head things, or at least start splitting up responsibilities. It is one of my favorite nights of the month. I enjoy the club immensely and would hate to see it die. We have an impressive bunch of brewers for our smallish town.

Anyway, It is too bad that I will not be able to make it at what will be my last meeting as the brewer here. I'll try and be at the September one for sure though!

Cheers!

First- Congratulations on the new opportunity Jeremy.  Hopefully you'll achieve distribution in NE soon.  Will you be leaving some of the recipes with the new brewer (maibock, APA, pils, etc)?

I'll be running to GI after the Aug. meeting and can drop off entries for the State Fair.

I can step in and help with the meeting- not sure what all needs to be done.  I'd just as soon not lose the club.

Do you guys want to do something to reach out to the next brewer?  Not sure what that would entail but it might be something that we want to do.

Glad to see you step up Gabe and keep the Columbus club going!  I'm in the same boat myself. Brian Haas is moving to Kearney and I got elected as the next EVBS president.  Hope I can represent.   I have some good ideas.  Would you be interested in some more joint club opportunities?  At least it would enable us to come up with some good opportunities for discussions and some more beer challenges.   Let me know.
