The forthcoming episode is on the fourth ashrama - “Sannyasa” and here is the synopsis of this episode.
Concept: Sannyasa
The last of the four ashramas or stages of life is the Sannyasa ashrama. It is the stage of life dedicated totally to the spiritual pursuit. This stage is characterised by the total giving up of self-centered life, and dedicating oneself to the welfare of the society.
The inspiring story of Vidyaranya, who was instrumental in establishing the Vijayanagar empire, is chosen to depict this
Story:
Vidyaranya had entered Vanaprastha ashram after fulfilling his household duties. Later, he also takes ‘Sannyasa’ and dedicates his life to the spiritual pursuit. One day, brothers Harihara Raya and Bukka Raya meet him and he learns that they were captives with King Tuglak and escaped at the first available opportunity. Now they wish to free their motherland Vijaynagar from the rule of Tuglak. Vidyaranya commits himself to the service of the Nation, and as a Sannyasi spends his life in the welfare of the society.
