We want to celebrate International Mother Tongue on 21st of this month. First of all, I would apologize to all of you for not having a GBM but I thought of it a little late and have just couple of days in hand. So, we can exchange our ideas and suggestions through mails. I talked to Ayesha and Narang Mam, and Ayesha suggested that the male faculties should give talks because they are sort of left out for the centre's event. So, I spoke to them, and Pandey Sir has given the title for his talk as
"LANGUAGE POLICY OF INDIA"
but Franson sir is not free on 21st. The second slot, therefore, has to filled up and further suggestion was Minati Panda. Although we can confirm it only after tomorrow.
As Ayesha suggested, participation should be more from students, so we won't have much of formal talks and all. So, I request you all to participate and let us know about your work and interest to enhance our love and responsibility for our mother tongues. I have incorporated all the suggested in SESSION 2, 3 & 4 which I received by Neelu and Bornini, thanks to my loving seniors for their wonderful ideas..:). We would be having a competition sort of thing for the Folk tales and I asked Vaishna mam and to give Prizes to the winners. Neelu di suggested a talk by Abbi Mam, but she is not here on 21st because of some meetings, so I guess we won't be able to listen to her on 21st.
Now I request all of you to come up your suggestions and participation so that we can make it a success. We are thinking of making Invitation Cards for the faculties, and a detailed schedule by Tuesday, so please let us know as early as you can.
[Lastly, its a centre event and won't be possible unless we all want to make it possible, so I expect all of you to participate in any of the sessions, I have put a few names who replied me.]
