Dear friends,
Last year for the first time students of our centre managed to hold the first ever International Mother Languages day (FEB 21) celebration, in continuation of this achievement i propose that we should take it to new heights this time. We should organize a university level one day event. With regards to this on the Jan 28th (coming Tuesday) at 10.00 am # a Centre GBM is called for to decide on the activities. Here are a few thoughts from my side.
At least two sections- One high-lightening the linguistic diversity, and the challenges in promoting and Preserving mother tongues in the Digital Era through academically grounded talks by students and may be from few faculties if we have consensus on it.
Other should aim at showcasing the cultural diversity by requesting or inviting cultural performances (by students) from around the country with specific focus on minority linguistic community.
