As for Angel's action, it was a flashback for him on his road to where
he is now, without intended motive that lasted a speck in time. He's
disgusted with himself to have shown her that sign of weakness, that's
one reason he was glad to laugh more loudly at the knight's demise.
Shyam can take it anyway she wishes.

watching the knight die until Smithy finished the job.

No.  I would prefer that you guys work it out.  Angel has a place in this group as does anyone else.  In many ways he prevents you guys from turning in on each other.  I can see rifts in other places that haven't developed, but would if you didn't have such a great protagonist.

Blood can be used as a component.  It can also be used to create clones, albeight temporary without a greater amount of flesh.  Scrying attempts will likely find the blood now since the body has been nearly completely destroyed.  Even though Diedra isn't a mage, she shows knowledge of the arcane in her act.  It is either that or a foolish trophy collection.  Other uses include necromancy spells that will recreate the knight as a spectre, creating bane weapons against aspects of the knight, and soul trapping magic.

Angel's "off by herself" phrase was meant that she wasn't with the
others focused on the corpse, but away by herself, distance purposely
left open to role-playing. That's why he's suggesting someone to be
focused on her and the group's security since no has said they were on
watch except for Quentin's singular search of the canopy.

There is a movie titled "Deck the Halls" starring Danny DeVito and
Matthew Broderick that has a scene using that phrase. They are two
dads cheering on young female singers and dancers that turn out to
include their daughters. When the performers turn around on stage to
face the audience, they get their shocked surprised.

Perhaps, didn't take it that way. Took it to mean Quentin was trying
to speak for the group again and directing Angel that he would have to
carry the body by himself (via person or horse - he had no intention
to leave his horse, yet, being already mounted). Thus Quentin was even
overruling Tempus' offer to carry the body.

Don't worry, Shyam is still more a pain in the ass than Quentin. Angel
just prefers her ... technique.
