Mid-Atlantic Library Alliance (MALiA) Manager
Description
The Mid-Atlantic Library Alliance (MALiA) is seeking applications for Business Manager, a part-time position (approximately 20 hours per month to be paid at a rate of $2125.00 per quarter).
Duties include:
· Manage the MALiA membership
· Manage MALiA finances (BB&T bank account and certificates of deposit)
· Use Quicken or another finance management tool to log/track payments and reconcile bank statements
· Deposit and write checks
· Manage Square credit card payments and direct deposits to bank account
· Monitor MALiA membership renewals in Google Sheets
· Perform regular updates to the MALiA membership directory
· Respond to membership inquiries and requests for documents (i.e., W-9, invoices)
· Perform credit card purchases and reimbursements
· Provide membership and financial information to the MALiA Treasurer
· Assist Program Committee members with workshop registration and setup
· Distribute MALiA youth budget funds to member libraries
· File MALiA IRS and State Corporation Commission forms annually
· Pay MALiA bond insurance annually
· Communicate MALiA Google Group updates to the MALiA webmaster
· Maintain work files and documentation
MALiA is a consortium of approximately 250 public, academic, school and special libraries based predominately in Virginia, and including libraries in Tennessee, North Carolina, West Virginia, Kentucky, Alabama, and Florida.

Requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree
· Experience with general business administration and processes
· Knowledge of accounting principles and best practices
· Experience successfully managing finances for an organization, including responsibilities to regularly log, track, and reconcile transactions
· Proficiency with spreadsheets and a finance management tool such as Quicken
· Strong customer service orientation with superior oral and written communication skills
· Strong organization and problem-solving skills
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· Familiarity with library operations
