Hi,

As this mailing list has been migrated to us...@apex.apache.org. So please use us...@apex.apache.org  for further discussions or queries regarding usage of apache apex.

Regarding your query:

Hadoop Location: must be location to hadoop binary (usually where you extract hadoop directory).  For eg: /usr/local/hadoop/bin/hadoop
DFS Location: must be hdfs root directory  format: /user/USERNAME/datatorrent for e.g: /user/deepak/datatorrent
                         Also you may provide it through URI: hdfs://NAMENODE:PORT_NUM/user/USERNAME/datatorrent
Thanks,
Deepak

Thanks,
Deepak

Hi,

Can you check the version from console with specified path.
For e.g: deepak@deepak-HP-ProBook-650-G2:/usr/local/hadoop/logs$ hadoop version
Hadoop 2.6.0
...

Thanks,
Deepak

Hi,

Change the ownership and permissions for your user directory on hdfs.
Commands are already listed in your screenshot.

Hi,

NAMENODE is reference for hdfs namenode. If it is single node HDFS configured it must be localhost. Also refer to core-site.xml file to check your exact path to HDFS.

For e.g:
deepak@deepak-HP-ProBook-650-G2:~$ cat /usr/local/hadoop/etc/hadoop/core-site.xml
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<?xml-stylesheet type="text/xsl" href="configuration.xsl"?>
