Git clone error

I am cloning Malhar demo twitter, but I got error forbidden 403
error: The requested URL returned error: 403 Forbidden while accessing https://github.com/DataTorrent/Malhar/tree/master/demos/src/main/java/com/datatorrent/demos/twitter/info/refs

Any help appreciated.

I feel that you may be using a wrong url for cloning. The clone url is listed on the https://github.com/DataTorrent/Malhar page (search for “clone”).

 

e.g for SSH the clone command is: git clone g...@github.com:DataTorrent/Malhar.git malhar

      for HTTPS: git clone https://github.com/DataTorrent/Malhar.git malhar

 

i.e. you can not clone a subdirectory of the repo. You have to clone the entire repo.
