Malaysia.rb May 2008 Meetup - Werewolf edition

Hi all,

It's been pretty quiet in here :) It has been a while since we had a
meetup so how does next Thursday sound? No specific presentations
planned, unless someone wants to share stuff.

BUT I do want to host a Werewolf game! Werewolf is a group bluff game
that is very fun to play. I attended Barcamp Portland a few weeks ago,
and whoa, they are serious players. I managed to score an official
Portland Werewolf playing deck so I'm eager to introduce the game to
you guys. Who knows, maybe we'll have a weekly Werewolf meetup that
runs parallel to Malaysia.rb :D

Location: Most probably Starbucks KL Sentral (let's be nice customers,
please purchase something in exchange of us using the premises)

That Werewolf game sounds quite the same as that Mafia game played at
many youth meetups.

I played it before. It is quite time consuming though.

So, is this meetup really going to take place?

We can indeed spin off a whole new lifestyle-themed non-programming
group, probably something like Mafia Brigade or Werewolf Brigade.
It will definitely cater to those who do not quite fit into
programming groups or other specialist groups.

It will meet almost every weekend and a game is played.

Have you heard of Facebook-A-holics Anonymous Bonding Society (FABS)?
This spin off group can run similar to that.
They seem to use "The Attic" almost everytime. Haven't been there
before, but it seems you can book the whole top floor or space.

Yes, this meetup is definitely happening. See you guys this Thursday,
29th May, 8pm at Starbucks KL Sentral.

Do note that this meetup will be together with barcamp malaysia
volunteer meeting 1, for people who are interested in volunteering to
organize barcamp malaysia. The event itself is tentatively planned to
happen on 26th july weekend.

Sure. See you there, depending on the workload I have.

Barcamp looks very interesting and cutting-edge. I am reading all
about it on Wikipedia.
