There are many underprivileged Ammas around us who cannot afford the celebration of many festivals due to their poor economic background. Vishu is one of such festivals.
We all love to be with our Amma especially during Vishu but due to some professional commitments, many of us may not get an opportunity to celebrate Vishu with our loved ones. With the help and support of our lovely members, we have been able to celebrate Vishu with some economically backward Ammas for quite some years.
This year also, we propose to celebrate Vishu with around 100 Ammas at Piravom, Ernakulam Dist. On 14th April, 2023. Apart from giving a good Sadya, we will give them Set Mundu (this time selected some better quality) being purchased directly from a manufacturer – arranged through MFG Charity Committee Member, Mrs. Sree Rajamohan, who is now settled in Trichur. The payment will be made directly to the Manufacturer against their bill. Thanks a lot for coordinating the same Madam.
The Cost break-up are given in the below message of Dr. AC Peter. The total expenses will be Rs.75554/- which includes Sadya, Set Mundu, Kaineettam, Conveyance to Ammas etc.
The relevant bills and other details will be shared with the Sponsors.
Those who are interested to be part of this may please inform us of the amount of sponsorship. Please transfer the money only after our confirmation, as we do not want to collect any extra amount.
Our special thanks to Dr Peter for coordinating this activity as we know the hard work required for identifying such Ammas from different places and organizing everything in a very systematic manner.

Greetings to you!
The Vishu festival is far approaching. It is on 15th April 2023. Our economically disadvantaged Ammas are eagerly waiting for this occasion because of generosity being extended by MFG patrons every year for them on this auspicious day. We intend to serve Vishu Sadya to 100 Ammas, as in the past, at Piravom, on 14th April 2023. Due to persistent support by Patrons of M.F.G, under your kind leadership, we have been regularly offering Vishu festivities to our disadvantaged aged Ammas for quite some time now. We thank MFG and Patrons for their support, every year.
Ammas are grateful to sponsors. Ammas started asking us the date of the event. They feel that MFG will always come forward to make available this platform for them every year to enable them to mingle, get-together, have sumptuous sadya, Vishu Kaineettam and conveyance allowance. As the month of April has already come, they always remember to enquire about the date and look forward to this important event in their life.
We have worked out the following budget for the program "MFG Vishu Ammayodoppam":
100 Ammas @ Rs 130 per Sadya = 13000 (no change in rate -previous invoice)
25 Escorts (supporting family members) @ Rs 130 per Sadya = 3250
Vishu "Set mundu" - 100 Ammas @ Rs 343 per piece = 34304
Conveyance - 100 Ammas @ Rs 200 per person = 20000 (no change in rate - previous invoice)
Misc - Chair, table, Kannat etc = 5000

If any of our sponsoring patrons, well wishers or members are likely to be present in Kerala during this occasion, kindly invite them to this function of Ammas on the eve of Vishnu. We hope that this proposal will meet with your approval.
The District Police Chief Mr Vivek Kumar IPS has kindly consented to be Chief Guest who expressed keen interest to mingle, interact and talk to Ammas. His email letter of confirmation is given below this email. He is from U.P. Varnasi. He is the Head of Police of Ernakulam Rural District. We hope that he would give advice to Ammas regarding their welfare matters, security etc.
