Vishu greetings to you! We hope and pray that you will have a wonderful rewarding happy Malayalam New Year - Medam month -1st day of the year.
We thank our dear Mr Bahar V Padmanabhan for sponsoring Vishu Sadya etc for MFG supported Ammas in the loving memory of his parents and we thank our dear Mr Gopal Nair ji for his kind consideration for these deprived Ammas.
There was cake cutting, vishu song etc during the event. The Vishu kit handed over to Ammas contained Vishu set Mundu dress, packet of Pappadam, a full cake and Rs 100 conveyance to each of them. The sumptuous Sadya was relished by our Ammas. Generally they do not get such an opportunity to interact with others, spend quality time, good lunch and some Kaitneetams (gifts). This was made possible thanks to MFG platform and generosity of Mr Bahar ji.
Municipal Chair, Vice Chair, Rotary Intl Past Dist Governor, Rotarians, Community leaders etc participated and extended helping hand in organizing and coordinating the event. The Sadya was held at basement of Piravom Municipality Office building, facing Muvattupuzha river.
By separate mail, we are sharing certain pictures and two videos showing the Ammas enjoying the food. Please open it "vlc media player".

Sub: Vishu Sadya for deprived Ammas - about 30 Ammas + 5 escorts
We intend to fix the date for Vishu lunch (feast) on 14th April, 2018 Saturday.
We are considering options regarding venue of the event. This is important because now it is severe summer. We shall know the venue finalised by tomorrow morning.
May we propose about 35 persons @ Rs 125 per leaf, for Vishu Sadya.
We may have to give conveyance @ Rs 100 to 30 persons.
If budget permits we may go for Vishu dress for 30 persons @ Rs 250.
For about 35 or 40 chairs and tables (for Sadya banana leaf spread), we may require another Rs 1200 or so. Await your kind advice.
Food - Rs 125 x 35 persons = Rs 4375
Conveyance - Rs 100 x 30 = Rs 3000
Vishu dress - Rs 250 x 30 = Rs 7500
Chair+Table - ( for 40 persons) = Rs 1200
Grand total Rs 16075
Request your advice if budget allows or we have to cut short anything from above.

PS: We were busy with Uganda child's open heart surgery at Amrita hospital, Kochi. Kindly see attached files for kind information. The child is being dropped at Cochin Intl airport today night on their way to their native place in Uganda. Also kindly see a write up regarding delegate's visit from Australia to Kochi for visiting 'aged homes' which we coordinated.

Some Humble Efforts by MFG:
- Gift of Vision - Vision Restoration Surgeries to 50 Poor Blind Children from each district. The deserving poor children will be identified by a team chaired by the respective District Collectors. 155 operations done so far.
- Have disbursed @Rs.10000 to 80 poor blind people as a non-refundable self-employment assistance. Propose to cover alteast 100 people with a short time.
· Sponsoring a poor girl staying in a hut for MBBS
· Maintenance Allowance of Rs.1000 per month to 182 poor elders from various parts of Kerala.
· Built a home for a elderly poor couple at Vayalar Village @Rs.3 lacs
· Provided artificial limbs to a physically challenged person. Also giving monthly allowance of Rs.2000 per month for sustenance.
· Provided a laptop and a monetary assistance of Rs.10000 for six months to a polio affect young man who cleared his CA final.
· With the support of Dr. Peter, Delhi, facilitated FREE heart surgery for three kids from economically disadvantaged class.
· Provided customized Gearless Scooters to two physically challenged persons
· Sponsoring a poor girl staying in a hut for Nursing Course
- Maintenance allowance @Rs.3000 p.m. to 3 orphan girls
- Support @Rs.3000 to 5 blinds from a family + Rs.20000 for starting a lottery business.
