A Positive Thought - The tyranny of discontent

In our increasingly materialistic society, debt is at an all-time high. With the ever-increasing prices of homes and rent, coupled with the emphasis on excessive lifestyles and instant gratification inherent in today's society, the temptation to acquire "more" is wreaking havoc with our priorities. And the way to satisfy the hunger for instant gratification is typically through debt.

The eager anticipation of the coveted item, however, loses its magic once the bill arrives. As the interest accrues, the "blessing" morphs into a "curse"锟斤拷a heavy burden that loses its value and siphons off some of the joy of everyday living.

You can be freed from the tyranny of discontent, and the debt that inevitably accompanies it. Adopt the attitude of gratitude. Count your blessings. And make a commitment to say "Thank you" to the One who made your blessings possible.
