GOD'S BLESSINGS ARE NOT TO BE MISSED!!!

A young man was getting ready to graduate college. For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer’s showroom, and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted.

As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car. Finally, on the morning  of his graduation his father called him into his private study. His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and  told him how much he loved him. He handed his son a beautiful   wrapped gift box.

Curious, but somewhat disappointed the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible. Angrily, he raised his voice at his father and said, “With all your money you give  me  a Bible?” and stormed out of the house, leaving the holy book.

Many years passed and the young man became a very successful in business. He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his father was very old, and thought perhaps he should go to him. He had   not seen him since that graduation day. Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son. He had to come home immediately and take care of things.

When he arrived at  his father’s house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart.

He began to search his father’s important papers and saw the still new Bible, just as he had left it years ago. With tears,  he opened the Bible and began to turn the pages. As he read those   words, a car key dropped from an envelope taped behind the Bible.

It  had a tag with the dealer’s name, the same dealer who had the sports  car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words…PAID IN FULL !!

How many times do we miss God’s blessings because they are not packaged as we expected?

I guess you will have to. Or find a way to make your Father proud to have such a fine son, and  express his love for you..

Cheers!

I feel we miss God's blessings many times. For example.
1.When we become angry at someone, we surely miss God's blessing.

2.When we criticise someone, we surely miss God's blessing.

3.When we are lazy, we miss God's blessing.

4.When we are puffed up,

5.When we don't become a blessing to others with the blessings we received, we miss God's blessing.

6.We ignore the poor, the needy, and the less previleged, amongst us, we miss God's blessings.

7.When we are carnal in our thinking, we miss.....

8.When we don't do good, where we can do good, we miss...

9.When we say lies, we miss...

10. When we exagerate, we miss.....

11. When we seek man's honour, we miss....

12. when money controls us, we miss....

13. When we are a slave to lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh, and pride of life, we miss Gods blessings.

And so on and on and on and on.

Love
Mathews

For married family people:
In a family, when the wife is not submissive, to the husband, the family as a whole misses God's blessings. Not
only the wife.

When the wife back answers, to the husband, the family as a whole misses God's blessings. Because, the children grow up seeing this and they repeat this backanswering in their lives. A sure way to miss God's blessing.

When children backanswer to the parents or speaks rudely to the parents, family misses God's blessing.

When the family does not pray together,
When the family does not go to the Church together,
When the family does not eat together whenever the husband and wife are at home,
When the husband and wife does not take deceisions concerning the family and children, TOGETHER,
When the husband and wife does not take decesions in unity and cooperation,
All the above misses God's blessings.

Communication is the key to a successful marriage, and when there is no communication between husbands and wives even for short periods, and for whatever reason,....the family surely misses God's blessings.

Husband and wife sleeping on separate beds,
Abstaining from sex other than fasting and prayer, or for mutually agreed purposes,....misses God's blessing.

A christian wife is not supposed to deny sex to her husband as a form of revenge, and at the same time a husband should not force the wife for sex.
The healthy way out is to prepare your wife for a physical encounter(relationship) by pampering her, by foreplay, and by creating a healty love relationship with your wife.
But surely no revenge, and no forcing. Both are ways to miss God's blessing.

During family prayer time, you can focus on Jesus, and you can also focus on other saints in the old testament. I would prefer to focus on Jesus, because this would be more blessed and I will read the old testament to increase my knowledge, and if I want some confirmations about what Jesus said and taught.
Let Jesus be the King in our married life.
