We are pleased to report that plans have be finalized for this year's
World Scrabble Championship, which at the request of the event sponsor
has been renamed the Scrabble Champions Tournament. This year,
the United States will be represented by 14 players and Canada by 7
players in the Elite invitational division at this event; for the
first time ever,
the event includes an Open division for players who want to share in the
excitement of top-level competition.

Both NASPA Copresidents will be in Prague for the event, with Chris
Cree on Team USA, and John Chew acting as the event's technical
director.
