For the fourth year in a row, the Malta Scrabble Club and Centrestar are teaming up to offer a mouth-watering double serving of competitive Scrabble in Malta, consisting of the 5th European Open Scrabble Championship (Saturday 11 to Tuesday 14 May, 2013) and the 6th Malta International Scrabble Open (MISO) (Saturday 18 to Monday 20 May, 2013), i.e. a total of 56 games and a minimum total prize money of €3000. The two organisations have chosen the Pergola Hotel, in the centre of Mellieħa, as a venue for this appetizing double event. The new venue is located in the heart of Mellieħa's bubbling entertainment area, replete with bars, pubs and restaurants, and is only a stone's throw away from some of Malta's most popular seaside resorts. The hotel itself offers excellent recreational and other facilities within a homely environment. Both tournaments will be directed by Amy Byrne and broadcast live on the web by John Chew.
