To all competitive Scrabble players around the globe:
For the fourth year in a row, the Malta Scrabble Club and Centrestar have teamed up to offer a mouth-watering double serving of competitive Scrabble in MALTA, consisting of the 5th European Open Scrabble Championship (Saturday 11 to Tuesday 14 May, 2013) and the 6th Malta International Scrabble Open (MISO) (Saturday 18 to Monday 20 May, 2013), i.e. a total of 56 games and a minimum total prize money of €3000.
The two organisations have chosen the Pergola Hotel, in the centre of the prime tourist hub of Mellieħa, as a venue for this appetizing double event. The new venue is ideally located in the heart of Mellieħa's bubbling entertainment area, replete with bars, pubs and restaurants, but is sufficiently sheltered from its surroundings to offer peaceful rest during the night. Besides, it is only a stone's throw away from some of Malta's most popular seaside resorts. The hotel itself offers excellent recreational and other facilities within a homely environment.
Both tournaments will be directed by Amy Byrne and broadcast live on the web by John Chew.
16 NATIONS are so far represented in the Malta Internationals 2013.
