Magic Office Recovery combines a high-tech recovery engine with an easy, user-friendly interface. A fully guided wizard will take you through the entire recovery process step by step. The wizard makes the recovery easily possible to anyone. The wizard allows specifying which disk contains the documents to recover, and whether to use Quick or Comprehensive analysis. Additional options are available but can be left to their default values if desired. Two recovery methods are available: Quick Scan and Comprehensive Analysis. In Quick Scan mode, MS Office file recovery software works blazing fast, displaying a list of recoverable documents in a matter of seconds. The Quick mode is great if you want to recover some recently deleted documents.
If you have a formatted partition, corrupted or inaccessible hard drive or memory card, the Quick mode may not return meaningful results. If this is the case, use Comprehensive Analysis instead. The Comprehensive mode takes much longer than the Quick one, but can reliably recover Office files and documents stored on badly damaged media.
Magic Office Recovery shares its data recovery engine with Magic Partition Recovery, a tool dedicated to recovering information from all types of damaged, corrupted, inaccessible and repartitioned storage media. This highly sophisticated engine allows Magic Office Recovery to reliably locate and recover documents kept on formatted memory cards, repartitioned hard drives, as well as problematic storage media.
The built-in preview has no external dependencies and requires no Microsoft Office, OpenOffice or Adobe PDF Reader to operate. The preview is fully visual, displaying the complete document or spreadsheet complete with all formatting, fonts, colors, backgrounds and embedded pictures and objects. The preview is available in both full and free versions of the product. Files in formats produced by Microsoft Word, Excel, OpenOffice as well as Adobe PDF can be previewed.
Content-aware analysis is the most comprehensive recovery mode available in any product. In this mode, Magic Office Recovery can recover information that was deleted months and years ago. In addition, content-aware analysis is used to recover information in the most difficult cases such as formatted hard drives, corrupted, and inaccessible storage media or devices that cannot be accessed with Windows.
Content-aware scan is automatically engaged when you select Comprehensive Analysis. In this mode, the easy Office recovery tool scans the entire disk surface at a low level, reading the entire content of the device looking for characteristic signatures that would give away the presence of a recognized file type. If a familiar signature is detected, Magic Office Recovery reads the rest of the data, analyzes the file header and attempts to determine the exact physical location of the file. Unlike Quick Scan, content-aware analysis does not rely solely on the file system, and will work reliably even if there is no file system on a disk or if the file system is severely damaged.
We used this to recover a bunch of office files once one of our computers crashed. Windows could not see the disk from that computer, so Magic Office Recovery was the only tool we could use.
Worked like a charm!
We keep Magic Office Recovery in our office just in case. Every once in a while we do get an important document deleted, or a USB pen drive gets formatted, or something like that. Magic Office Recovery is the best insurance!

Crude oil development and production in U.S. oil reservoirs can include up to three distinct phases: primary, secondary, and tertiary (or enhanced) recovery. During primary recovery, the natural pressure of the reservoir or gravity drive oil into the wellbore, combined with artificial lift techniques (such as pumps) which bring the oil to the surface. But only about 10 percent of a reservoir's original oil in place is typically produced during primary recovery. Secondary recovery techniques extend a field's productive life generally by injecting water or gas to displace oil and drive it to a production wellbore, resulting in the recovery of 20 to 40 percent of the original oil in place.
However, with much of the easy-to-produce oil already recovered from U.S. oil fields, producers have attempted several tertiary, or enhanced oil recovery (EOR), techniques that offer prospects for ultimately producing 30 to 60 percent, or more, of the reservoir's original oil in place. Three major categories of EOR have been found to be commercially successful to varying degrees:
The EOR technique that is attracting the most new market interest is CO2-EOR. First tried in 1972 in Scurry County, Texas, CO2 injection has been used successfully throughout the Permian Basin of West Texas and eastern New Mexico, and is now being pursued to a limited extent in Kansas, Mississippi, Wyoming, Oklahoma, Colorado, Utah, Montana, Alaska, and Pennsylvania.
Until recently, most of the CO2 used for EOR has come from naturally-occurring reservoirs. But new technologies are being developed to produce CO2 from industrial applications such as natural gas processing, fertilizer, ethanol, and hydrogen plants in locations where naturally occurring reservoirs are not available. One demonstration at the Dakota Gasification Company's plant in Beulah, North Dakota is producing CO2 and delivering it by a 204-mile pipeline to the Weyburn oil field in Saskatchewan, Canada. Encana, the field's operator, is injecting the CO2 to extend the field's productive life, hoping to add another 25 years and as much as 130 million barrels of oil that might otherwise have been abandoned.
In September 2010, DOE competitively selected seven Next Generation CO2 EOR research projects. Four projects are developing techniques for mobility control of the injected CO2. Novel foams and gels have the potential to prevent the highly-mobile CO2 from channeling through high-permeability areas of a reservoir, leaving un-swept, unproductive areas of the reservoir. The four projects are:
RS Office Recovery packs some of the most sophisticated data recovery algorithms currently on the market. Its Quick Recovery mode is blazing fast, allowing to get back recently deleted documents in a matter of minutes. In Comprehensive Analysis mode, the tool thoroughly analyzes the entire content of the device, performing content-aware scan and reliably recovering documents even if the disk has been formatted, repartitioned, corrupted or badly damaged.
RS Office Recovery is easy to learn and simple to use. Offering a highly intuitive recovery wizard, RS Office Recovery can solve the most complex problems one little step after another. The built-in viewer enables fully visual preview of recoverable documents, allowing to view documents and spreadsheets before they are even recovered.
When it comes to formatted, repartitioned and corrupted storage media, RS Office Recovery does a great job recovering documents by performing content-aware analysis of the entire disk surface. During content-aware disk scan, the tool will read the entire content of the device block after block in an attempt to detect characteristic signatures identifying the beginning of a document. When a signature is detected, RS Office Recovery locates the file header and analyzes its fields in order to determine file attributes such as its name and length. By performing content-aware analysis, RS Office Recovery produces amazingly complete results, often allowing to recover the entire disk content.
