Digimon Xros Zero (デジモンクロスハンター, Dejimonkurosuhantā) is a direct-sequel to the original Digimon Xros Wars and reboot version of it's third arc, Digimon Xros Wars -The Young Hunter who leapt the Through Time-, while the series would be following a different standard from the regular direction of Digimon Series, as it considered as a standalone digimon series or spin-off with creating sub-franchise brings announcement for several new greenlight season which are completely new work sequel from the rebooted one.

Digimon Xros Zero is a direct-sequel to Digimon Xros Wars and completely reboot version to third arc of Digimon Xros Wars titled The Young Hunter who leapt the Through Time which was broadcasted back in October, 4 - 2011. The Xros Zero storyline follow a different direction of the story, while the characters from Third Arc is still same for their story and characterization, but in completely new and different outcomes, however, it also greatly expanded into a sub-franchise and standalone crucial from standard Digimon Series where it focuses on Shonen Audience instead Kids Audience, while being served as the true sequel to Digimon Xros Wars -The Death Generals and Seven Kingdoms-.

It also created new four seasons following a first one, which second is continuation, while three seasons are completely new works from the original however, the finale one is completely reboot and remake from the three final episodes of the Third Arc.

The creation of Digimon Xros Zero was came from idea in mind, due to Digimon Xros Wars Arc 3: The Young Hunters who leapt the Through Time was poorly received by many fans and viewers alike due to lack of story, excitement and character development which made results the story been branded as a Filler which the third arc storyline has no holds for plot development treatment. Because of this, it impacts to several outcomes for the third arc such as how it didn't received a english dub and deemed as a failure sequel to the Digimon Xros Wars, followed by Digimon Xros Wars Arc 2: The Death General and Seven Kingdoms.

While the protagonist of the third arc, Tagiru Akashi received a bad performance of his motives, character drivens and lack of character development as it deemed as failure same as the storyline, while the characters from the third arc was also been described as a "Poorly developed entire characterization".

With the second chance to be made and since the commemoration 10th anniversary of Digimon Xros Wars Arc 3: The Young Hunters who leapt the Through Time in made decision to find a ways to revive the third arc stories, while it doesn't mean just to revive, as the series tries finding it's own identities and distinctly different from Xros Wars and Xros Wars: Young Hunters in order avoid the same mistake as before. They also tries to find a way how they can developed the story plots, and characters in completely new settings and balanced between old and completely new styles in order to distant themselves from the previous title, while bringing a fresh new story that would change direction of the third arc completely.

Although the challenges is that how to revive the series that already failed, while also make it distantful but not too distant that much from Xros Wars since it validately connected together, but while focused on completely new direction, new story and characters as it is much important to discussed with all parties and staff alikes. They very consistent wanting Tagiru Akashi's story to be completely different from previous protagonist like Taiki Kudou or Taichi Yagami, but while the spirit of it's character still there, they want to focus on his character and story more shonen alike, rather than kid alike. That is how they pushed toward in order to make a second chance for the series to shine.

As Digimon Xros Wars Arc 3: The Young Hunters who leapt the Through Time turn into a completely brand-new series and sequel, Digimon Xros Zero which is a standalone from generic standard of Digimon concept while a brand-new installiment of Digimon Series, as it explores themes, concepts, plot-driven and character-driven in a brand-new direction from it's original third arc leads to a new insight, different and completely new reboot sequel from it's predecessor, Xros Wars.

Xros Zero will focused on Tagiru Akashi's story in a different direction from his counterpart in the third arc and as the story would be reimagined and reboot from the original while it would greatly validates to explore different themes stories like about Hunters, Trigger, Royale, and Fighters brings for an impact toward the character motivation and plots to the series. As while the genres of the series would be a Adventure, Fantasy and Sci-FI, it also adds a mystery surround the settings, atmosphere, characters, plot, and the digimon who were transported from the Digital World to the new world called the Digi-Quartz also a mystery surround everything in that world which brought viewers and fans to experience the plot-twist that came unexpected as the storyline progressed. Although while the story is based from it's third arc of Xros Wars, they wanted to reimagined the story in brand-new direction to validates fitting places for plot and character-driven.

And so the series completely new and fresh while reimagined the story from it's third arc in new direction brings a new opportunity to further and further developed not just Tagiru's character, but also all Hunters character in completely reimagined, new turned and fresh from the original, bringing a greater impact to his story and the plots surround Xros Zero series along with the mystery surrounding in Digi-Quartz. Xros Zero is completely different from generic standard and formulas from previous digimon series as the series would be completely new shonen series rather than kid series as the previous digimon title did, while offers a new complex story, settings, characters and unexpected plot twist progression that could made a turning point to the story.

The Xros Zero will offers three sequel titles which is completely original story with featuring a brand-new characters, new settings, new digimons, new areas, and much more things that soon could change what they know about the first and second season which is reimagined story from the original, also a new mystery plot surround the hunting, and any places that connected roams between Real World and Digital World, and that means that Tagiru and Gumdramon will face a greatest new challenges than he previously experienced as Digimon Hunters.

Tagiru Akashi in Xros Zero would be different from his counterpart in the Xros Wars: Young Hunters where he is distinct from each other. while his character also match his situation with Gumdramon, but in different place and different time brings us how strongest match and connection between Human and Digimon which also how it became related as well where he was a rebel boy who wants to be notice by someone or wanted to be someone that really fitted in, but get into a several problems and ends up getting punishment which is how Tagiru and Gumdramon is deeply focused through it's parallel toward each other.

As how Xros Zero given a different version from his original counterpart, Tagiru is basically rebelled, mature, stubborn, sarcastic and cocky who always become distantful toward anyone who make a contact about him and he always seeking for attention on anything but always failed at anything, while in the end he got a lot punishment, however, he's determination and never giving up is the only things that kept pushing him forward, even he had thought that the world is against him, as he encountered Gumdramon and become Digimon Hunter, he's seeking for greatness and stronger in order to surpassed Taiki Kudou while realizing he and Gumdramon might destined something bigger, not as a hero, but as a Superstar. However, he has mysterious past that he didn't aware or didn't know which are very mystery in Xros Zero that connected between him and Digi-Quartz that become one of the key to the plot development.

While Gumdramon's personality is still same, while expand his characterization and given depth to his existing one which can be fittingly parallel with how Tagiru did too brings a strong connection toward each other which is a majorly important to the series and their characters driven that becomes a key to this story that brings us to explore every new complex and elements toward their journey and the people he had met, seeing how struggle had impacted him can turn in different way. Two of them bring forth to the stories adventure together in Digi-Quartz and explores not just two of them, but many new characters that they had met.

As the Digimon Xros Zero is completely different generic standard and formulas from any other series as it focuses on Kids ratings, the Xros Zero would be a PG-13 which contains violence, some blood, some sexual and some gore. As the Xros Zero would take on for shonen audience which are not for kids audience, as it is for those who already watched Xros Wars and Xros Wars: Young Hunters, or can be watched for new audience for reaching that ages, with the story, atmosphere and more contains a lot mystery, might had more actions and dark tone could be presented in this series as it continues progress from lighter tone to darker tone. According to the directors that the series would be something that people or fans didn't even see this coming and very different from what they watched Digimon since their kid or previous one, which Xros Zero is definitive totally new experience for shonen audience also it's very inappropriate for viewers under 13 years old to watch.
