On Friday, we will be interviewing three candidates for the post of
Teacher of English and Media, to cover Mrs Ali's maternity leave.
This is not ideal, because of the clash with Sports Day, but I have
planned a programme which should not interfere with Sports Day at all.
The details are as follows:
8.30am: Candidates arrive and meet with Mr Savage
8.50am-9.50am: MLB interviews with Omer, Tahira and Irfan (Room 3.7)
9.55am-10.45am: Lesson Observations (see below)
11.00am-12.00pm: Tour of the School
12.00pm-12.30pm: MLB Feedback (Room 3.9)
12.30pm-3.30pm: Panel Interviews with Mr Savage and Ms Chiwara (Room 3.9)
Lesson Observations:
7F = Ms Saleem (Room 3.5)
7W = Ms Gormley (Room 3.7)
8F = Ms Venis (Room 3.8)
Lessons will be observed in pairs as follows:
Mr Savage and Faizan Mohammed; Ms Chiwara and Karishma; Mrs Ali and Omer.
Each pair should spend approximately 15 minutes in each classroom,
dividing their time accordingly.
MLB Interviews:
Omer, Tahira and Irfan need to meet to write a set of questions.
Questions should be approved by Ms Chiwara or myself by the end of
Thursday.
Tour of the School:
Zara and Karishma need to decide in advance on the route for their
tour of the school, which should last for around an hour. They should
collect the candidates from the staff room beforehand, and return them
to the staff room at the end.
MLB Feedback:
All MLB consultants involved in the morning in any way MUST report to
Room 3.9 promptly at 12.00pm. This is your ONE and ONLY chance to feed
back on the morning, and help us decide which candidates are to be
carried forward into the afternoon.
N.B. If ANY consultants are, for some reason, NOT able to perform the
roles I have allocated to them here, can they please let me know AS
SOON AS POSSIBLE. You can understand, I am sure, how difficult and
complicated it is to organise a day like this, and I need to know I
can rely on you. If you are also involved in Sports Day, can you
please make sure you arrive back on site PROMPTLY after your event(s),
so that the programme is not held up.
Thanks for all your help on this.
Mr Savage
