Hi Guys, I Just like to announce that we're gonna have a Nooku Jam on
November 4, 2011 at Exist TechBar, Ortigas. Our guest speaker is no
other than Johan Janssens, co-founder and former lead architect of
Joomla 1.5.

What is Nooku? It's a new PHP framework with a focus on design
patterns and correct architecture in solving development problems.

This might not mean anything to you right now, but if you're
interested in learning some advanced concepts in programming, you
might want to take a look at Nooku and attend the Nooku Jam. It's very
different from frameworks like Kohana, Yii, CakePHP, CodeIgniter, etc.
Those frameworks offer you their own style of development with usually
quick learning curve.

Nooku is different in that it will elevate your programming skills by
teaching you time tested, higher level programming through correct
architectures and design patterns. It's a little bit harder to grasp
at first, but it is very rewarding once you get its concepts.

I have used Kohana and Django for completed projects, and tried other
frameworks as well on personal projects, and I found out that Nooku is
totally different. If you think you can develop really fast with less
code using other frameworks, you might be surprised that Nooku lets
you do it faster, with even less code! I can prove it to you if you go
to the Nooku Jam.
