Ka-JUG,
Just to send a reminder to everyone to please attend our sympo-camp
this coming Sept 5 (Monday), 2-5 PM.
Except for some changes in the line-up, our preparations are quite
okay. Of course, no event is perfect, and we expect to have glitches
and problems during the event itself. But no problem is big with all
of us supporting, physically or in spirit.
Regarding the changes in line-up, ICS Director may not be able to
deliver the welcome remark, and he would probably assign the task to
Prof. Arian Jacildo. Chancellor Velasco is on trip, and he has
assigned Vice-Chancellor Ranola to give a message on his behalf. Our
plenary speaker, Teddy Casino will not be present physically because
he will be needed in the plenary hearings in Congress, but will send a
recorded video of his talk. Well... ganun talaga ang buhay...
We have already had meetings with ICS and COSS reps, and we have
already turned over the money for them to manage, as well as the
things they should be responsible for.
Anyway, let's enjoy this event. It's not as formal like the
traditional symposia you may have encountered in the past. Tech events
feed on informality and being just yourselves.
This is it for now, and we hope to see your presence during the event.
Kindly reply if you will be able to attend and if you know of
organizations which will send in people (as well as their number), do
let us know through this thread.
