Hey,

So, I ordered somewhere i September last year.

I was promised that my box would be produced in January.
January came and went.  No news from Makibox. Silence all over.

On the blog and forum Makibox kept repeating they were on schedule.
But if they were on schedule, why didn't i receive news of my box? Why wasn't it produced?

So, after a long and patient wait, i send a panicky mail to support. Had they forgotten about me? Was my money gone.
No reply..

After more waiting, i send a reminder.
No reply..

I then started browsing the forum and people were talking about fraud and bankruptcy. Urging to contact paypall for a refund.
Other people are talking about supply issues with the hot-ends.

I'm in panick mode now.  Which is it?  Is my money gone? Should i request a refund?

Should Makibox pull through, i would rather wait and get a makibox.

But today i went back to the forum and the thread about paypall seems to be gone.
Which gives me the feeling that they are indeed in trouble and I wont get a box. Or my money.

I don't know what to do.
Does anybody know what is going on ?

The thread was not removed. It's still  there.

I requested a refund by e-mail on May 20th. I received a response back on May 23rd saying that my refund request had be noted and would be handled. They said they have been receiving a lot of refund requests lately so it may take a day or two....

That was a week ago. I am also getting nervous. I e-mailed them again today to follow up on my request.

@nils: it's not hard to send a mailing to all undelivered customers and give some feedback. it would keep the rampant rumoring at bay.
i bet there are many people canceling simply because this lack of feedback.

if i'm sure i would have my printer, i'm willing to wait.
but because of lack of information, i'm doubting i will actually get it.
and then i prefer to have my money back while i still can. because once they go bankrupt, nobody will get their money back.

I see these email threads so the time, I have received my printer and the few times I have emailed support I get a response in 48hrs. I do believe that emailing multiple times can reset your position in the support queue, and push your request back. So maybe give it a week.

That's sad as again I'm at a week or more waiting for the next thing they would like me to try.

Kevin,

I have mine, too, and it would be nice if Makibox delivered me from 3d printing impotence but I recommend an active role in getting your machine in working order.

The various forums, both Makibox and otherwise, are rife with experimenters that I believe will surmount the filament feed issues.

Personally, I am trying to decide where to camp out the most. There are the Makibox threads, google group, and now a wiki.

I think the Zen drive, though not perfect, is probably good enough. I think it is the poor thermal isolation in the hot end that is causing feed problems. But I don’t know for certain. And the threads are changing so fast one needs to hustle to keep up.

I imagine Mr. Buford will come up with something pretty nice. In the meantime, I intend to get my machine  printing.

Best wishes.
