What is Raspberry Pi and why should teachers use it?

Raspberry Pi is the world's cheapest and smallest computer, and it has endless creative applications! Created by the Raspberry Pi Foundation only 7 years ago, it is now the 3rd best selling computer in the world after Mac and PC.

It is the easiest & most effective platform for any educator to teach students real-world skills and prepare them for the future tech economy: because of its intuitive user interface and compact size, you can easily learn to build and program robotics projects to life, turning concepts in computer science & engineering into reality.

No technical background required; in our workshop, you will build and code a robot car from scratch and learn:

  • How to use and program the Raspberry Pi
  • Programming skills in Python (industry-standard language)

You will get to keep:

  • Your own Raspberry Pi Robotics kit (robot car included)
  • Sample NGSS-aligned curriculum
  • Projects that you can apply in a classroom right away (ex: self-driving robot car)

Feel free to reply to this email if you have any questions, or contact us at 408-677-9882.

We hope you can make it!

Cheers,Vivien
