George Hampton, Kevin Hayes and I visited Syracuse on Thursday. Both Tech Garden and SALT are impressive. The Tech Garden has been educating and incubating for the Syracuse Startup community for 10 years. They've got a lot going on, 45 active companies in the space currently. They have a large student program that has created 110 companies, 39 still running today with 80 jobs created. SALT is a well equipped and dynamic new MakerSpace.

Tony Kershaw from Tech Garden was a wonderful host. He's working on his idea of a startup bus to get folks in the Syracuse Startup community to be more involved in the Startup activities in Buffalo, Rochester, Toronto and Boston.
