Makers,
Here's a reminder that we are well into IngenuityFest season, and that
there are free public workshops to help build exhibits for the
festival happening every Saturday (2-6pm), Tuesday, and Thursday (both
6-10pm, coinciding with our Tuesday open hours) until the festival
(September 26-28). They're also a good opportunity to come check out
the space if you haven't had a chance to yet, so why not?
(The following text is courtesy of Emily from Ingenuity):
Emergency emergency! This is not a drill! We need your best and
brightest to help your fellow makers with a wide variety of projects
for Ingenuity fest 30 days from now!
We are in need of people capable of soldering! Carpentry! Electronics!
Precision fabrication of larger than life, games, and immersive
exhibits, including:
Smoke & Mirrors by Brian Gesler: a larger life player game modeled on
the vintage board game Khet with a human-sized playing pieces (i.e.
you *are* the game piece).
Digital Grotto by Tom Stoll: an immersive musical garden, triggered by
dripping water to play an electronic composition.
Serene ‘Shrooms by Ed Morra: sound and light reacted from mushroom
sculptures create a digital den of calming music.
Plus much more! Carpentry, projects! Painting and tinkering! Arts and crafts!
Plus some demolition if you need to get your rage out…
