I have a USB drive that keeps connecting and disconnecting on a loop. A friend suggested that maybe one of the connections is loose. I need to get it to work long enough just to rescue the data off of it does anyone have any suggestions. It might need soldering

Hi Ryan,

I would take some low gauge breadboard wire and an old usb hub. Solder the wire directly onto the board where the serial bus is soldered onto not onto the bus contacts. Same deal with the hub side. I’d use the least amount of wire possible to avoid any signal loss.

Cheers!
