Hi, I am going to 'convert' the M2 nozzle/barrel to an oil/or water cooled version. This should be fairly straightforward (based on past experience this means 'will be problematic and take years') . I will be using a non-pumped heat syphon using a pretty small amount of liquid - less than 100ml which will be in a sealed container on the extruder motor (note to self - please make sure system is leakproof) and will experiment to see what cooling I can achieve inside the barrel so that the PLA/ABS cannot flow back up the barrel and cause me more problems. I want the upper part of the barrel to be well below the flow point of the extruding material. Anyone tried this type of cooling? I think I am really getting temperature obsessed :-)
