I'm assuming this is for a MakerGear Prusa, otherwise ignore me :).
This is what the power connections on my makergear prusa look like

You can see that there's no molex connectors plugged into the RAMPS.
Those odd green connectors on the right of the photo have black 2-core
"lamp cord" going into them. The other ends of those black cords go to
the 4-pin molex connectors which plug into the wiring loom from the
power supply.
The difference between the 5 amp and 11 amp connectors (at least on my
power supply) is the _shape_ of the connector. The flat one with the
bevelled end (with two black wires, a red wire and a yellow wire)
supplies 5 amps, and the square one (with 2 black and two yellow wires)
supplies 11 amps.
Note that only the black and yellow wires coming from the power supply
are used, the red ones are only 5V.
You shouldn't need to unsolder anything on the RAMPS.
