This is tailored to educators wanting to get more girls excited about STEM fields, but I think it's great for boys, too. In case you don't know, a LilyPad is a sewable Arduino microcontroller. You will walk away with all the electronics and conductive thread TO KEEP, and will make a cute programmable plush.
