I'm passing along this note from a LVL1 member. It's an interesting kit to make dye-sensitized solar cells.
I attended a lecture at UofL this week given by the winner of the Conn Prize (
http://www.conncenter.org/leigh-ann-conn-prize/), Dr. Michael Graetzel, a Swiss chemist who developed a dye-sensitized solar cell that far exceeds the efficiency of its silicon counterpart...pretty groundbreaking work. He mentioned a kit high school students can use to replicate the process of his work on a smaller scale using blackberries. I thought it might be of interest to you and the MakerEd group.
