to MakerBot Watch
(originally posted on NYC Resistor internal list)
My idea for a Makerbot Watch sketch is called "Particle Accelerator".
The particle is moving on the outer ring, with an magnet lit on the
inner one. It starts moving slowly around the rim of the watch, and
your task is to hit a button when the particle goes by the magnet
LED. When you do that, the particle will start going faster, but if
you fire the magnet when the particle isn't there, you'll lose power
(indicated by the four status LEDs). The goal is to get the particle
moving as fast as possible before running out of power... I'll
probably make a a reward animation if you get it fast enough on each
level.
A two person variation would have two magnets running off different
buttons, with each person trying to be the one to speed up the
particle. You could also turn this into particle pong by having the
magnet reverse the direction of movement... that's kinda like tether-
ball on the Makerbot Watch :)
I'll try to hack on this when I get back from the Mozilla week here in
California.
