I learned that besides RepG, there's a host of other great slicing software for the Replicator 2.  Particularly curious about Simple3D and Cura.  Since the latter is free, I decided to try that first.  After installing it, I found that while there is a Replicator machine setting, there isn't one for the Rep2.  I was wondering if anyone has successfully used Cura for Rep2 printing and if he/she can share the machine settings used?

Thanks in advance for help.

I bought Simple3D and it was money very well spent, tons of features, wow factor is a 10...

Cura did not impress me...

I have been trying the same thing as yourself. I too like the look of the Simple 3D but will not buy software that i can not try first $200 is way too much for an unproven software on my set up. As for Cura I have had mixed results with it. I find I can get a much better finish on the final layer from KISS or Slic3r. It is quite fast and has a reasonable preview, I like to look at the model before I print to make sure I have not missed anything. On problem that drove me nuts for a while id Cura has a Makerbot setting but it is not relevant to the Rep 2, it will print way off center. To fix this go to the Machine Tab/Machine settings/ and check the Machine center 0,0 box. Please post you experience with this software as it is good to read how other people find it.
