For everyone who've answered my bone headed questions, THANK YOU. If your bot ever breaks and you need me to 3d print you a part. I'll do it for free and mail it to you if you live in the USA. If you don't live in the USA, I'll still do it but you'd have to pay for shipping. Also, I bought a new professional 3d scanner. If you want me to scan something for you that is a common household item that I have in my house, I'll do it for you for free (for those of you who've answered my questions). If you want me to scan something of yours, I'll do it for a small minimal charge that covers shipping and wee bit more (not because I want to make money off you but just to decrease the number of requests so that I don't get inundated with requests). Please note that I am not a business and I'm not doing this for everyone, just those of you who've answered my questions on this forum before I posted this message.

I'd be curious to see what the raw output of a professional 3D scanner looks like, along with what type of scanner it is. 

I've hacked together structured light and DAVID scanners, and use ReconstructMe. Each solution has it's strengths and weaknesses so I guess I'm wondering what you get for a more expensive professional grade solution.
