Hello everyone,
I use a Cupcake CNC with RepRap Motherboard v1.2 and Extruder Controller v2.2 with Plastruder MK5 and the standard build platform

The printer was unattended for some time and when I got to the project I updated from ReplicatorG 0025 to 0034 on an ubuntu System and the firmware was updated as well (see below for details)

*.s3g-files compiled under the old 0025 worked an still work under the 0034 setup.

However, any newly compiled *.s3g-file lets the machine make a single move in the x-y-plane. Also there is an beep and you have to stop the printer.
The same occurs when I try to build directly to the printer via usb. Also, I get an estimated time for completion of 2147483647 days, 2147483647 hrs, 2147483647 min.s. I that highest possible time.

Here are some details regarding the setup of the printer:
Motherboard firmware v3.0
Toolhead 0: Extruder controller firmware v3.0 (Extruder)
Pinch Wheel Extruder v1.1

From "About the machine":
System Information
 ReplicatorG version: 0034
 Java version: 1.6.0_18
Machine
 Profile Name: Cupcake Basic
 Driver Type: Sanguino3G
 Name: Cupcake Basic
 Motherboard firmware version: Unknown v3.0

What confuses me is "Pinch Wheel Extruder v1.1"; Shouldn't it say Plastruder MK5 in ReplicatorG and the control Panel? How do I fix that?

In a logfile I could not recognize what could be the problem. But since the old *.s3g-files work I guess the problem has something to do with compilation of the gcode.

I welcome any advice or suggestion and thanks for the time spent

now I chose Cupcake with automated build platform and the mk5 is correctly identified in ReplicatorG 34.
However, I stll get the same problem: .s3g files compiled under the current environment lead to an error upon the first movement of the plastruder in the y-x-plane. old files from version 24 still work.

I uploaded the log file; file selected in line 3422, error in line 10558, but I think that is because I hit the reset button to stop the beep

After v24 x,y,z offsets were stored in the motherboard settings. By
default garbage is in there till you set or calibrate. Later versions
might assume you have endstops. Without endstops or a stepper extruder
why would you bother to upgrade? You might be better off keeping v24.

Does that mean you might need endstops to run with the 3g5d board on version higher than 24?  WHere can you check that? Shouldn't it say that somewhere?

O.

You don't need end stops. I was just pointing out that "perhaps" the start.gcode and maybe sf has the end stops on by default. And if it uses the stored motherboard settings you will get strange behavior.
