Anyone know where I can get a cupcake Z platform?

I have enough parts that I'm not using to make a second cupcake EXCEPT for the Z platform.

Thanks,

Do you have access to a laser cutter?  Local hackerspace, maybe?

I would have to order a larger piece and get it shipped. Then pay for time on the laser. (then store the extra sheet, which my wife won't be happy about)

Honestly, I would rather pay for someone else to do it. Especially since I have to print out a lowrider and z rider for it. That takes enough time in itself.

Sadly,

You're like 8 hours too late. I had Craig of built-to-spec do it.

Thanks,

Doh, and I was just going to get you to pay shipping as we
have the plastic in abundance here.

Maybe next time.

Oh well,

Actually it was interesting, I had Rob Giseburt give my modified platform file to Craig during their hackerspace meeting, they cut it there, then Rob is going to mail it to me. It was pretty seamless from my perspective.

For any cupcakers out there, I'm in the process of flipping the Z rider to use M8 rods and linear bearings, if you already printed the Z rider, you would need to reprint 6 parts I think.

Best,

That sounds very very interesting.  When you're ready with it, I'll be 1st in line to re-print what's needed.

http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:21304 - no need for a laser cut
platform (all printed).... although you may need to adapt the
"stabilizer" if you have a Steppstruder...(i'm on the process of doing
it as i want to replace my old Plastruder but still didnt had the time
for doing so)...
