I'm getting all my stuff ready for the printer when it finally shows up.  I have installed makerware, I have netfabb basic installed, and I just installed ReplicatorG.  Netfabb basic works great, Makerware loads and seems to work perfectly fine, but ReplicatorG loads.  It looks like a program that mainly displays command line interface dialog, however I've seen pictures in example screens that shows a virtual build area and the model in a similar fashion to the way Makerbot displays this information.

No matter what I do, when I try to load an object, nothing appears on the screen.  I looked online and there was mention of a possible conflict with a service called "conveyer" which I turned off and it didn't seem to make a difference.  The docs also said to change out of windows classic theme mode if you are using win 7.  I don't use the classic theme, I use the windows 7 basic theme.  All the other themes look like garbage with their reverse negative effects

I have an I7 @ 3.5 ghz w/ 16 gb ram, GeForce GTX 570 w/ 2 gb ram & windows 7 64

Has anyone else had this problem?  What is the solution?

Bryon, there's actually not a CLI in RepG -- there is a text area where status information gets displayed, and there's an editor mode when you are looking at the g-code.  Conveyor shouldn't be an issue if you're using RepG just to open your stl models, sending it to be sliced to SF, and for converting the resulting Gcode to the .s3g format.

Perhaps a screen shot would help.

I run Win7 64-bit, and it works fine. I did have an issue on my Win Vista machine where nothing would show up. But maximizing RepG and/or switching it to a different monitor always cleared up the issue. I think it was a video card thing.

I'm running Win7 64-bit as well. RepG shows my models, but somehow the manipulation of the models (such as zooming and the rotating views) are very laggy thou. Not sure if it's due to Python.

I can also install MakerWare and RepG on the same PC (with conveyer off). But sometimes I cant run both software together.

Makerware automatically position objects I suppose.
Did you have used the move to center of RepG?

Maybe try to position in Netfabb it first to the right position, and repair it maybe.
First set the used platform size under settings.
The move the object by right clicking on the model // move // to origin // move. The point 0.0.0 is the center of your build plate normally with Makerbot. In netfab the 0.0.0 is at default left under. So you can center your object further by moving it's center obove the 0.0.0 point of Netfabb.
Do that while looking from the top.
Export that stl, and see if it shows up.

Are your source models in metric or Imperial measurements? Try the "Inches to mm" button in RepG and see if your model appears...
