Hello,

I am trying to input bathymetry data in excel (in xyz) into Makerware to produce a 3d print.  The first step seems to convert this data to an .stl or .obj format which I have not been successful in doing.  Can anyone give advice on the best way to go out about this or any programs that would help?  Thanks a lot!

Regards,
Kyle

You could import the set into Meshlab to get a point cloud and then generate the mesh. Will probably have to play with the data to get it into a format it can read but that shouldn't be too hard, of course I have to admit I've never tried so for all I know maybe it's a royal PITA :-)

Don't forget proper math and formula based CAD such as OpenSCAD
