Hi,

I just finished setting up a new Replicator 2 and have encountered a rather disturbing problem while trying to level the build plane; when the extruder reaches the upper right hand corner of the machine, something (I'm not exactly sure what) starts vibrating/shaking rapidly and makes a very loud and disturbing sound.

Here's the link to a video I took which demonstrates what's happening: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dCbTdPRRozc

I've tried re-aligning the gantry and lubricating the machine, but neither of those things helped.  I think that the piece in the upper right hand corner which is shown in the video is what's causing the problem, but I'm not positive... It feels as though it's not completely locked in place, which may be what's causing it to interfere with the pulley.

Thanks for the help!

Its sounds like your Y endstop do not work.
Look at your left side and see if the endstop is lighten up when the switch is activated.
Also make sure the switch is pushed in.
Also look at the x endstop to make sure that to is working.

Hi, The clicking sound is the end stop not triggering.  I had the same problem with my Replicator 2.  How I fixed it was to place a bit of blue tac on the stepper motor and place a paddle pop stick or a piece of plastic approx the same width or wider in to the blu tac, check that is is tripping the switch by pushing the extruder over to the switch.
Hope this helps.

Also, to verify that the switches are working electrical/software wise, move the nozzle to the front left corner of the bed.  Then tell the bot to home the axes and manually trip the switches with your finger.  If the bot stops in that direction, you know the switches work.
