For some reason, recently, when I click on the "Explore" or "Create" buttons on the main page, it just adds a "#" to the existing address  and goes nowhere. Anyone else having this issue? Clicking all the other buttons work just fine. Weird.

Working for me from Safari 6.0.4 and Chrome 27.0.1453.116.

Just to add to the weird, when I manually append "/Explore" or "/Create", I get this:

404

YOU HAVE REACHED THE END OF THE THINGIVERSE.
THERE IS NOTHING AWESOME HERE...

YET.

Yes, let's just say less than browser friendly.

For example, I pretty much find I MUST use FireFox or Chrome to browse it, otherwise IE blows up constantly.

Interesting. I have been trying this with Chrome (which I usually use) and it doesn't work. I just tried it with IE and it worked fine. LOL.

I gave up on IE years ago and have never looked back. The Web just
works better without IE. But that's as a typical user. I'm a
professional web developer as well. For development, I refuse to "make
it work in IE" for any of my personal projects. Public facing apps or
specific customer apps get that extra effort - but only to the point
where things are as close to standards based as possible. I sleep
better at night.

BUT Chrome on Ubuntu based systems sucks when it comes to WebGL. So
using the thingview option of thingiverse is not really a choice for me.
My next distro install won't be *buntu based for this reason.

But, that's me - your circumstances may be different, of course. :)

"I gave up on IE years ago and have never looked back."
Not that I don't agree but at work, many users have no choice do they?

So if MakerBot is for Prosumers and Business, then their webpages being crapped out on a common corporate browser would shoot them in the foot would it not?

That's why I was clear to specify for my "personal" projects.
Makerbot/Thingiverse falls under the public facing sites category. You
cannot control what browser people will use to connect to such sites, so
you have to ensure the site is reasonably operational in at least more
recent browsers besides the ones you use. If this didn't happen then
someone dropped the ball with testing...

But web dev is a whole different issue better suited for other lists. :)

Yea, I was getting blank white pages for about 4 hours this morning.  I was hoping that they were fixing bugs that doesn't allow images to load..  But, from what I see, nothin's changed..

Please fix the damn images..
