Hi Has anyone else had this error before? Has happened to me twice when trying to do a large print after about 8 mins into an 8 hr print. I can print small items up too 30 Min long prints after this error with no problem.
Printer is a 5th Gen.

Lots of people have them. Call (don't email) tech support.

Thanks, i have already emailed but i will take your advice and call.
I wonder what they can do if anything to solve the problem? I have thought about rolling back the firmware and trying the print to see if the same error comes up.

Yeah I had this constantly, you'll probably have to return your extruder.

Just an idea....

Is it possible that this particular design that you are trying to print brings the extruder carriage close to the front of the build plate, whereas other designs do not do so?

An issue I had was that I had a particular design which brought the extruder to within an inch of the front of the build plate, and the LED assembly which was hung beneath the extruder head clobbered the raised edge of the build plate. In my case that caused the nozzle to skip - however I believe it is possible that it could cause the smart extruder to be dislodged - meaning that you would see the error you refer to.

If that might be the cause, try moving the design towards the back of the build plate if you can, and try again.

If that is the issue then the only way that will ever be fixed is a re-design of the hardware to prevent the LED assembly colliding with the raised corner of the build plate. This cannot be a firmware fix.
