2.4.1 Crashes on install on Windows 7 x64

I'm installing since version 2.3.1 to 2.4.1 and none work on my computer, its getting a little frustrating, got response from Makerbot, but none of the tips work, here's my error log:

Conveyor is a service. Service is an application that typically runs at an administrative level.

If a software installer cannot copy and start a service that is required for the application, this is due to restrictions in the configuration of YOUR OPERATING SYSTEM.

Since NOBODY on the planet but you knows what restrictions have been set on your computer, there is no way we can help you.

 

Sorry, I'm not trying to be a total jerk to you but rather share with other users the root cause of your problem. If someone else has this issue, there is nothing I, MakerBot, or anyone else is going to tell you that magically makes it work on your computer.

 

Just so that you don't walk away with any advice at all, this probably a permissions issue.

Either you are running (AKA logged into) a restricted user account while trying the install

You need ot right click on the installer and "run as administrator"

You need to log into an administrative account and run the installer from there.

Or you are in fact attempting to run a 64 bit installer on a computer running a 32bit OS.

 

Given the fact that multiple versions didn't work, again, the common denominator is your computer and it's settings. Because the error message doesn't say WHY the service was denied, we really can't tell you what magical setting of the millions that exist on your operating system is the restriction.

 Hi Jetguy and thanks for the answer,  I am indeed in the administrator profile (its actually the only one in this machine) and with x64 OS.

Could it have something to do I have installed Replicator G and it appears to be 2 versions of Python in this computer, one installed by Replicator G (v26) and one by makerbot (v27).

Sounds possible Jose... Conflicts of all sorts are not good - even in the digital world!!

BTW, I am running Win7 64 pro and have installed the latest Makerware builds without any issues whatsoever.
I haven't installed Replicator G ever on this machine and given how well Makerware runs I doubt I ever will... 

I do have different Python versions floating around the machine that have been installed by various 3D apps and graphic programs - so maybe there's an issue with Rep G?

If I was you... and I'm not - but if I was; I'd think about which is more important to me - keeping Replicator G or being able to install the latest version of Makerware.
