Hi there, I have a replicator 2 I want to put doors and side panels on.  I am constructing these myself.  I have the door cut out and the edge beveled so it sits flush in the opening.  I printed my hinges out, and now I'm looking for bolts/screws that will fit the thread that is there.    Does anyone know by chance what the thread is? the gage of the screw/bolt?  :)  Any help appreciated...  :)

Which threads? The hinge screw? My R2x looks like it has M4 on the front door hinge and M5 holding the panel to the frame. Don't quote me on that though.

I was refering to the holes on the top of the frame of the Replicator 2.
where the screws that attach the door hinge to the frame would go, shown here (a picture is worth a thousand explanations, sorry for not posting a picture sooner guys... it would have helped :).  These are the screw holes where one would attach the hinges for the front door on the Replicator 2x :) those are the threads I am referring to :)

thanks again and sorry for not making it clear :)

Without taking any out (re-aligning the stock door is a pain), I'm pretty sure those are M4.

They are M4, probably about 20mm long. The stock panel hinge bolts are countersunk (your hinges might not match all geometry to OE), and the ones holding the front panel have M4 nylock nuts.

And that front panel looks pretty damn good if you cut it by hand.

yup cut by hand,  with a hack saw with a thin blade for cutting metal.
cut at 90 degrees, then hand routed to a 45 degree bevel, certainly not the smoothest,
but from far away it looks nice, but more importantly it should do the job... i sure made a mess in my basement with bits of plastic all over the place...

I'm going to home depot tomorrow to purchase the M4 ~20 mm along with some wet sanding paper to smooth my bevel a bit more...
and find some kind of 1/16th inch pin (and some thin rubber washers as there was too much play side to side on the hingest... :)

Thanks folks, very much appreciate everyone's assistance with this. :)

incase i forgot to include it, here is the link to the hinges and door handle :)

http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:376894  The holes are an exact match for the 2x hinges, i just had to drill the holes out a bit :)

On my 2X these are M4 bolts - I replaced the stock ones with thumbwheels
so that I could easily detach the panel when working on the bot.

Sanding the corners is a good idea. I used to cut my hand on the stock R2x door constantly while leveling.
