There's still plenty of places that sell 3mm filament: Ultimachine, Protoparadigm, etc. No need to upgrade your Cupcake just yet.  :)

I TOTALLY hear ya - I also don't want to HAVE to upgrade my CupCake. But, seems for now - its not really an issue - U just need to look around - since the plastic is still available!
