I was wanting to do a multicolor print (black on top of pla). Does anyone know if ABS will stick to PLA if using the Jetty firmware and pausing at a height then changing from PLA to ABS?

I printed this, which is black ABS on "natural" PLA. PLA, like Aljosa said, makes a great raft.
It might depend on the type of PLA and ABS, and the temperatures, and layer width/hight ratio...
My experience was not very good. I was using ultimachine's natural PLA at 180, black ABS at 210 and was trying to print the "cat" thing from thingiverse on the PLA raft and w/ PLA support. The layer height was 0.3 or 0.32 (don't remember for sure), nozzle 0.5mm. The end points of the ABS extrusion threads were curling up and some of the cat's paws (where the first layer contact area with the surface was small) were always breaking off.
By the way, printing PLA on top of ABS using the same plastic and settings worked much better. Probably the ABS was still hot enough to allow good adhesion. Maybe the greater thermal expansion coefficient of ABS has helped a bit too.
There is no benefit in printing PLA on top of the ABS raft, but since you only want a multi-color object it might work for you.
