So,
I really want some of that Bottleworks deliciousness, but alas, he closed up shop before I got into the whole MakerBot thing.

I've got some Chinese Wraps on my Replicator 2X, but I would enjoy the whole "never level your bed again" reliability a lot of people here have with the Bottleworks setup.

Does anyone have a set laying around they would like to get rid of?

If not, has anyone heard of the "IDE Aluminum Arm Upgrade" on eBay?

Logic says they should work okay, but are they as good as bottleworks?

Or am I better off Modelling some bottleworks style arms and using my friend's CNC?

Hi

Long time no posting from me.

I remember having some in a box. I will have a look. I never fitted them to my 2X because I moved to building my own printers rather.

I am in Australia and postage is probably going to be around $50 if you are in the USA. I can't remember how much he charged me for them. I think I was one of the first because I worked with him on the measurements.

I have a set of genuine Bottleworks Rep 2 arms (used) that I pulled when I reworked my bed recently. With bearings and retainers. No longer needed.

They are black anodized (I threw them into an anodizing batch at work) Type II.

Let me know if you are interested. I'm in California.

Does anyone have the 2014_arms_back_plate.stl (or the 2013 back plate stl) for the original Replicator 2x arms?

I know this is an old post, but i wanted to comment as i recently acquired a Rep 2X with the IDE upgrade on it... WOW... Just plain WOW...

The bottleworks setup was nice, i worked on a few that had them on there, but this complete Z-Axis replacement from IDE is simply put amazing.  I leveled it and printed for hours, multiple prints and heating and cooling cycles and then checked it again, it didn't move at all.  I have their full Z-Axis replacement and their HBP replacement as well.  The HBP is really top quality.  I have two of their glass plates that pop on and off with magnets on the HBP, what a great system, finish a print pull the plate pop in the other plate and hit print again while the first one cools.  Talk about turn around time!

They are a bit spendy, i would love to have their Z-Axis upgrade in my Rep 1's, but i have three Rep 1's and it would cost a small fortune to upgrade them all, $250 each for the Z-Axis assembly and $150 for the HBP.  But if i have any HBP problems i will probably at least do that upgrade to my existing Z-Axis, i have the aluminum wrap around supports on my stock plastic arms for now and they work great.
